This union / fitting is a compatible replacement for the Raypak original, supplied as the Digital Sensor Adapter for R185A, R265A and R405A Heaters, Compatible with Raypak. In service it connects sections of plumbing and allows equipment to be removed without cutting pipe. This is a consumable in practice: the nut threads strip and the seat distorts, so the joint can no longer be sealed by hand. Ours is molded in PVC / reinforced thermoplastic.
