Product overview

Stainless Steel Air Vent Strainer, 1/4-Inch, for D.E. Filter — an aftermarket strainer / trap dimensioned to drop into Pentair filter tanks without modification. In service it holds the debris basket ahead of the pump and keeps the suction side sealed. Replacement is routine: the housing and sealing face craze with chemical exposure until the pump struggles to hold prime. Ours is dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
