Volute, SuperFlo Inground Pump — an aftermarket volute / housing dimensioned to drop into Pentair circulation pumps without modification. In service it forms the pressure chamber around the impeller and directs flow to the discharge port. It is a wear item: threaded ports and mounting bosses crack, usually from over-tightened plumbing or freeze damage. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
