This diffuser is a compatible replacement for the Jandy original, supplied as the Diffuser for MHP and MHPU Series Pumps, Replacement for Jandy. In service it converts the velocity leaving the impeller into pressure and directs flow into the discharge. It is a wear item: the sealing lip and locating tabs wear, letting water recirculate inside the pump instead of moving downstream. Ours is molded in reinforced thermoplastic.
