This gasket is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo Seal Plate Gasket and Shaft Seal Kit, PS-1000. In service it seals the joint between two housing faces and keeps the circuit pressure-tight. Replacement is routine: the material compresses permanently and loses its rebound, so the joint begins to weep under pressure. Ours is molded in EPDM rubber and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
