This o-ring is a compatible replacement for the Pentair original, supplied as the Closure O-Ring, 5-3/4-Inch ID, Replacement for Pentair Tagelus and Triton II Filters. In service it forms the static seal between two mating components under compression. Replacement is routine: rubber hardens, flattens and cracks with heat, chlorine and UV exposure, and a failed o-ring is the most common source of air leaks and drips. Ours is molded in EPDM rubber.
