The D.E. Filter Top Grid Spacer, DEV and DEL Series is an aftermarket filter grid / DE element built to replace the original component in Zodiac filtration systems. In service it provides the surface that holds the diatomaceous earth cake doing the actual filtering. Replacement is routine: the fabric tears and the manifold sockets split, which sends DE powder back into the pool. Ours is built with polypropylene fabric on a rigid frame and dimensionally checked against an OEM sample before tooling is signed off.
